Chipotle Mexican Grill Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting in the Vista for Tuesday, June 18

COLUMBIA, SC – June 13, 2013 – The Congaree Vista Guild and Butler Properties and Development will host a grandopening ribbon cutting for Chipotle Mexican Grill in the Congaree Vistawith Mayor Steve Benjamin at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at619 Gervais Street.
Thenewest Chipotle, a national chain of fast-casual restaurants known foran emphasis on high-quality ingredients, distinctive interior design andserving “food with integrity,” will officially open its newest locationat 11 a.m., following the ribbon cutting.
Mediarepresentatives and members of the public are invited to attend theribbon cutting. Mayor Steve Benjamin and Congaree Vista Guild ExecutiveDirector Sarah Lewis will welcome Chipotle to the neighborhood andColumbia and offer comments on a projected $150 million worth ofinvestments in the Vista in 2013, of which Chipotle is a part. Tours ofthe new restaurant, which is a model of adaptive reuse, are availablefollowing the ribbon cutting.
