Citizens for Land Use and Zoning Task Force to Meet September 25

September 24, 2025

The Laurens County Citizens for Land Use and Zoning Task Force will convene on Thursday, September 25, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at the Hillcrest Complex East, located at 105 Bolt Drive in Laurens.

The meeting will begin with a call to order from Chairman Bell, followed by an invocation from Task Force member Ashley Riddle and the Pledge of Allegiance. After approving the agenda and minutes, members will turn to two major discussion items:

  • Review of Public Input Meetings – The task force will discuss the outcomes of the community input sessions held across Laurens County, where residents shared concerns and ideas about growth, development, and zoning.

  • Presentation to County Council – The committee will also continue planning its formal presentation of findings and recommendations to Laurens County Council.

A public comment period is scheduled toward the end of the meeting, offering residents another opportunity to voice their thoughts directly to the task force.

Formed to evaluate land use and zoning issues in Laurens County, the task force is working to gather community perspectives and craft recommendations that balance growth with preservation of local character.

The September 25 meeting is open to the public, and citizens are encouraged to attend.
