City Center Partnership Announces the Addition of Brett Frantz to the Board of Directors

COLUMBIA, SC – March 19, 2009 – City Center Partnership is pleased to announce that Brett Frantz, Director of Corporate Real Estate for First Citizens, has joined the Board of Directors. Frantz will join the 30-member board in overseeing City Center Partnership’s mission:  to focus on filling vacancies in commercial properties, retaining existing downtown businesses and recruiting new ones, expanding the downtown residential base, and creating a safe, clean, and friendly downtown environment.


About Brett Frantz

Frantz’s banking career spans over 23 years, including 17 with First Citizens. Frantz joined First Citizens in South Carolina in 2000, serving as director of E-commerce and alternative delivery systems before being named division executive by year’s end. Frantz is currently First Citizens’ director of corporate real estate with responsibility for overseeing the bank owned real estate portfolio. He also holds the bank officer ranking of executive vice president.

His community leadership activities include serving as the chair of City Year Columbia. He also serves as the chair of the finance committee and a member of the executive committee for the Salvation Army of the Midlands. He is a former member of Leadership South Carolina board of trustees. A strong education advocate, Frantz served on Crayton Middle School’s Academic Excellence Committee and is past chair of Crayton’s School Improvement Council. Frantz is a member of Trinity Episcopal Cathedral and is an elected member of Vestry. He also serves as the chair of the Children & Youth Committee. He and his wife, Scotty, have a daughter, Sarah, and a son, Adam.
