City conducts swearing-in ceremony for City Council Members

Councilman Will Brennan, District III, and Councilman Tyler D. Bailey, At-Large, were sworn in on January 3, 2024 at City Hall Council Chambers. The oath for Councilman Edward H. McDowell, Jr. was previously administered.

Reverend Dr. Thurmond Bowens, Jr. started off the ceremony with the invocation followed by the Presentation of the Colors from the City of Columbia Honor Guard. City Manager Teresa Wilson gave a welcome and opening remarks.

Councilman Will Brennan was sworn in by Dr. Stacey Van Pelt Brennan and Councilman Tyler D. Bailey was sworn in by The Honorable Daniel Coble, Fifth Judicial Circuit Court Judge.

The ceremony closed with a benediction from Reverend Dr. Anthony McCallum, Bethlehem Baptist Church.
