City of Charleston offices to close Thursday and Friday, November 27-28 for Thanksgiving holiday

The City of Charleston offices will be closed Thursday, November 27, and Friday, November 28, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. Adjustments to recreation and trash collection schedules are included below.

City Services Over the Thanksgiving Holiday

Public Service:

• City Crews

During the week of Thursday, November 27, city crews will operate on a normal schedule Monday–Wednesday. Collections will shift to a one-day delay after Thursday.

• • Thursday’s collection → Friday

• Trident Waste (Johns Island, Outer West Ashley)
  Trident Waste will run a normal schedule Monday–Wednesday during the week of November 27. After Thursday, they will operate on a one-day delay.
  • Thursday’s routes → Friday
  • Friday’s routes → Saturday

• Trident Waste (Daniel Island, Cainhoy)
  Trident Waste will run a normal schedule Monday–Wednesday during the week of November 27. No schedule changes noted for these areas.

Recreation:

• All recreation facilities will be closed Thursday, November 27
• The Municipal Golf Course will reopen Friday, November 28.
• All gymnasiums, Maybank Tennis Center, Peggy Bohne Tennis Center, and MLK Pool will reopen Saturday.

 City Offices:

• All City Offices will be closed Thursday, November 27 and Friday, November 28.
