City of Clinton Police Department Promotes Two Officers to Sergeant

During the Clinton City Council meeting last Monday, two dedicated officers of the City of Clinton Police Department received well-deserved promotions to sergeant. School Resource Officer (SRO) Dena Messer and Officer Corey Barnes were both recognized for their commitment and service to the community.

SGT Dena Messer, who has been with the department for four years, has played a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and well-being of students in the local schools. SGT Corey Barnes, with three years of service, has consistently demonstrated dedication to the City of Clinton and its residents.

Clinton Police Chief Sonny Ledda expressed his pride in the newly promoted sergeants, stating, “SGT Messer and SGT Barnes are invaluable members of our police department and the community. Their dedication to serving and protecting the citizens of Clinton is unwavering, and we are fortunate to have them on our team.”

The City of Clinton is grateful for the hard work and commitment of SGT Messer and SGT Barnes as they step into their new leadership roles.
