City of Columbia announces closure of Woodcreek Farms Road Bridge for public safety

The City of Columbia has closed Woodcreek Farms Road, between Woodcreek Ridge Drive and Beaver Lake Drive, following findings from a routine annual bridge inspection conducted by the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT).

Upon receipt of notice of the failed inspection, the City determined that the bridge requires closure until further notice to ensure public safety.

Drivers should use Jacobs Mill Pond Road or Spears Creek Church Road as alternate routes if needed.

The road will remain closed as officials work to assess the bridge and determine the next steps.
