City of Columbia Homeless Services and Parks and Recreation partner to host Stuff-A-Van in honor of World Homeless Day
October 9, 2025On Friday, October 10, 2025, the City of Columbia Homeless Services Division in partnership with City of Columbia Parks and Recreation, invites the community to come together at Martin Luther King Jr. Park (2300 Greene Street, Columbia, SC) for a Stuff-a-Van event in honor of World Homeless Day.
This event is all about showing compassion and care for our unhoused neighbors. We’ll be collecting essential hygiene items that help restore dignity and support daily needs.
A van will be on-site at MLK Park, ready to be stuffed with donations. Every item collected will go directly to individuals in need throughout our community, making a real difference, one donation at a time.
Drop-off Time: 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

- Toothpaste & toothbrushes
- Deodorant
- Soap & body wash
- Shampoo & conditioner
- Lotion
- Feminine hygiene products (pads, tampons, wipes)
- Hand sanitizer
- Combs & hairbrushes
- Razors & shaving cream
- Wet wipes
- Socks
- Towels & washcloths
