City of Columbia, Prisma Health® and National Fitness Campaign launch third Fitness Court® at Rosewood Park

The City of Columbia, Prisma Health® and the National Fitness Campaign (NFC) celebrated the opening of the third Fitness Court® in Columbia with a ribbon-cutting ceremony held at Rosewood Park, 901 South Holly Street.
The event featured remarks from Councilman Will Brennan, Henry Simons, Assistant City Manager of Operations, Kenya Bryant, Director of Parks & Recreation, and Anthony Jackson, Senior Vice President of Service Lines, Chief Community Officer.
Following the ceremony, Columbia Police Department, Columbia Fire Department, and Prisma Health ambassadors demonstrated how the Fitness Court encourages movement and wellness across all ages and fitness levels.
The Rosewood Park Fitness Court provides the community with free, world-class outdoor fitness infrastructure that allows users to leverage their own body weight through seven movements, core, squat, push, lunge, pull, agility, and bend. Each station is designed for people of all ages and abilities, encouraging users to move at their own pace and comfort level.
Residents are encouraged to download the free Fitness Court App, which offers guided workouts, challenges, and digital coaching to enhance the outdoor fitness experience.
This new Fitness Court joins the growing network of Columbia’s outdoor fitness spaces, following installations at Greenview Park and Finlay Park, with additional courts planned across the City as part of Columbia’s ongoing healthy community initiative in partnership with Prisma Health and the National Fitness Campaign.
