City of Columbia seeking information to get youth positively activated this summer

The City of Columbia is seeking information from local youth organizations and groups regarding youth services this summer.

“We are excited to offer this important information guide to parents and guardians again this year.  Our youth are our most precious resource and we must provide them with positive programs and activities.” City Councilwoman Tina Herbert

This information will be used to create the Youth Services Guide, a resource to that is given to parents and guardians. It outlines services and programs that are provided to youth during the summer in the City of Columbia and throughout other parts of the community in Richland County.

The deadline to submit information is April 6, 2024.

Youth advocates can submit information via email to [email protected]. The following information should be included:

1. Name of the organization or group
2. Name of primary contact person, and contact information including phone number, email address, and website
3. A description of the program
4. Age ranges of those that can participate
5. The dates, time, and location of the program
6. The cost of the program, or that there is no cost
7. Resources needed if any (books, sports equipment, etc.)
