City of Greenville launches two mobile apps

February 26, 2016

The City of Greenville has launched two mobile apps designed to make information more accessible and interaction with the City more convenient. GreenvilleSC is the official City of Greenville mobile app and is directly connected to the website, so online content is in sync with the app. The goal of the free app is to provide information that citizens and visitors need when they are on the go, such as special events and parking, as well as quick access to Greenville Cares. Users can also get news updates and emergency alerts, view meeting agendas and calendars, make online payments and access other features of the website, including the “search” function and the City’s social media. The app is available from iTunes at https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/greenvillesc/id1027999777?ls=1&mt=8 and Google Play athttps://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.civicplus.sc_greenville.

The second app, GreenvilleZoo, gives users access to the Greenville Zoo anytime, anywhere from their mobile device. Designed to enhance the zoo experience, guests can use the app to plan their visit, find out about upcoming programs and events and support the zoo’s conservation efforts. Animal fans can also view the live Giraffe Cam, watch zoo videos, learn about the zoo residents and become a member or make a donation using their mobile device. The Greenville Zoo app is free and available from iTunes at https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/greenvillezoo/id1080154570?ls=1&mt=8 and Google Play at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.civicplus.sc_greenvillezoo.
