The City of Simpsonville has taken an initial step toward selecting a new management group for the CCNB Amphitheatre at Heritage Park, with a final decision expected at the City Council’s February business meeting.

Following deliberation in executive session, Simpsonville City Council voted 7–0 during a specially called meeting to move forward with a resolution approving an agreement with Opry Entertainment Group for the promotion, operation, and management of the CCNB Amphitheatre at Heritage Park. The resolution will be brought before Council for a final vote at its regularly scheduled business meeting on February 10.

City officials emphasized that the vote taken at the special called meeting was a preliminary step in the contract approval process. Council is expected to take final action on the resolution at the February meeting, at which time the agreement would be formally adopted and the contract approved. A copy of the proposed contract is expected to be available prior to the February business meeting.

Located within Heritage Park, the CCNB Amphitheatre at Heritage Park serves as a regional destination for concerts, festivals, and community events. City leaders have indicated that the proposed management change is intended to support continued growth at the venue while enhancing programming and the overall visitor experience.

According to the City of Simpsonville, Opry Entertainment Group brings experience managing live entertainment venues and events across multiple markets. City officials said the group’s approach aligns with Simpsonville’s goals of maintaining the CCNB Amphitheatre at Heritage Park as both a community gathering space and a regional entertainment destination.
