City Year Introduces New Advisory Board Member Tommy Johnson of Colliers International

COLUMBIA, SC – City Year, a national organization that unites young people for a year of service in high-need public schools, is pleased to introduce new Advisory Board Member Tommy Johnson, Vice President of Colliers International South Carolina, who was appointed to serve a three year term at the start of 2014.
“We are excited about Tommy joining the Board. He has hit the ground running, traveling to Boston in May to represent City Year Columbia at the celebration of City Year’s 25th Anniversary. We look forward to his perspective and commitment as we continue to support our Corp Members in their mission to solve the high-school dropout crisis by keeping our at-risk children on track to graduate,” stated Jim Irvin, City Year Columbia Advisory Board Chair.
Johnson is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and served as an officer in the U.S. Navy and Naval Reserves through 2005 as a Lieutenant Commander. He serves as the Facilities Chairman for St. Joseph’s Catholic School Advisory Board, and is active with his neighborhood association as a former board member. He is past president for the Midlands Chapter of the United States Naval Academy Alumni Association and has served in that capacity multiple times.
Johnson, a Vice President of Colliers International South Carolina, is a member of the Colliers Office Brokerage Team, specializing in the leasing and sale of office properties.
