Clinton Art Gallery Announces 2026 Visual Arts Calendar; “Art & Soul” Exhibit Now Open Following Successful Opening Reception
February 16, 2026The Clinton Art Gallery has unveiled its 2026 Visual Arts Calendar, offering a full year of creative opportunities for artists, students, and art lovers across Laurens County and beyond. From exhibitions and citywide events to classes and seasonal sales, the gallery continues to serve as a vibrant hub for the arts in downtown Clinton.
Currently on display is the Art & Soul Exhibit, which opened February 12 and will run through March 14. The exhibit launched with a well-attended and highly successful opening reception, drawing a strong crowd of community members, artists, and supporters for an evening celebrating creativity and connection. Guests enjoyed the opportunity to meet participating artists, view the new works, and experience the energy that makes the gallery a centerpiece of Clinton’s cultural life.
“We were thrilled to see such a wonderful turnout for the opening,” said Jeannie Browning of the Clinton Art Gallery. “Events like this remind us how much our community values the arts and the opportunity to gather, connect, and be inspired. The Art & Soul exhibit truly reflects the heart of our artists and our town.”
Community members who were unable to attend opening night are encouraged to visit during February while the show is open to experience the exhibit firsthand and support local artists.
The 2026 calendar highlights include:
February 12 – March 14 — Art & Soul Exhibit (Now Open)
A showcase of expressive works by regional artists exploring creativity, emotion, and personal storytelling.
May 1 – May 31 — ART Clinton 2026
A citywide celebration of the arts featuring exhibits throughout Clinton, live art battles, plein air painting sessions, and an awards reception.
August 1 – August 29 — Let’s Face It Exhibit
An exhibition focused on portraiture and figurative art. Reception scheduled for Thursday, August 6 at 6:00 p.m.
October 12 – October 17 — TAG Members at Edisto Plein Air 2026
Gallery artists will paint on location at Edisto before presenting a special showing and sale of completed works.
November & December — Christmas Sale
A holiday market featuring hand-painted ornaments, Christmas cards, and seasonal décor created by local artists — perfect for unique gift shopping.
Throughout the year, the Clinton Art Gallery continues its mission to foster creativity, provide educational opportunities, and connect the community through the visual arts.
Visitors are encouraged to stop in during February to experience the Art & Soul Exhibit before it closes in mid-March and to mark their calendars for the many artistic events still to come in 2026.
