The Clinton High School Girls Tennis Team continued its dominant run this week, securing back-to-back 6–0 victories over Columbia High School on Monday and Eau Claire High School on Tuesday.
On Monday, the Red Devils controlled the match from the start, winning all five singles contests in straight sets:
#1 Singles: Libby Dailey defeated Lauren Davis 6–0, 6–0
In doubles play, the #1 team of Dailey and Derrick did not compete, while the #2 doubles team of Savanna Fountain and Lydia Whitmore won by forfeit to complete the sweep.
The Red Devils carried that momentum into Tuesday’s match against Eau Claire High School, once again winning all matches:
#1 Singles: Libby Dailey defeated Lauren Johnson 6–0, 6–0
In doubles, the #1 team of Dailey and Derrick did not play, while Fountain and Whitmore again earned a win by forfeit at #2 doubles.
With these victories, Clinton improves to 7–1 overall and 6–1 in region play, showcasing their strong season performance. The Red Devils return to action on Wednesday, October 15, when they travel to Chester for a 5:00 p.m. match.
