Clinton Girls Win in Overtime

Clinton, which began the season ranked second statewide in Class 5A women’s basketball, returned to action and defeated a Class 5A school, Wade Hampton of Taylors, by a score of 45-38, in overtime.

De’Shanti Watts led the Red Devils with 17 points, and Anna Litzenberger put the game into overtime by hitting a 3-pointer at the end of regulation, tying the score, 37-37.

Clinton (1-1) outscored the Generals 8-1 in the extra period.
