Clinton’s Jaydon Glenn Named Laurens County Touchdown Club Player of the Week

The Laurens County Touchdown Club is proud to announce that for games played on Friday, August 29th, the Player of the week is Clinton High School linebacker Jaydon Glenn.
Jaydon is a senior middle linebacker and H-back for the Clinton High School Red Devils and lead the Devils on defense Friday night in their 50 – 0 win against Laurens District High School at K. C. Hanna Stadium in Laurens and has been the Devils defensive points leader for the past two weeks.
Jaydon Glenn had an outstanding night for the Red Devils at his defensive linebacker position. Glenn had four total tackles; one tackle for loss; two quarterback hurries and one interceptionthat was returned 49 yards to the one yard line to set up a Red Devil touchdown in their victory over rival Laurens District High School.
Head Coach Corey Fountain stated, “Jaydon has really worked hard on and off the field and has become a leader on our defensive unit. He has embraced his transition from defensive end back to linebacker.”
The Laurens County Touchdown Club will honor Glenn on September 4th at the secondTouchdown Club meeting of the year. The meeting will be at noon at The Ridge in Laurens with Dempsey’s Pizza of Clinton serving the meal and the food service line opening at 11:45 am. Player of the Week awards will presented in 2025 by Farm Bureau Insurance of Laurens County.
Speaking on Thursday, September 4th will be Presbyterian College Head Football Coach Steve Englehart as the Blue Hose upset the #11 ranked Mercer Bears Saturday night by a score of 15 – 10 and now prepare to travel to Greenville, SC to take on the Furman Paladins Saturday, September 6th for a 2 pm kickoff.
The Laurens County Touchdown Club meets every other Thursday throughout the football season at The Ridge located in Laurens at 301 Exchange Road and the public is invited. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $15. All meetings are at Noon with the food service line opening at 11:45 am.
The featured speaker for the second TD Club meeting on Thursday, September 4th will be Presbyterian College Head Football Coach Steve Englehart. Coach Englehart begins his fourthyear at Presbyterian. Additionally, the Farm Bureau Insurance‘Player of the Week’awards will be presented for the August 22 and August 29 High School football games.
