IntelliSystems and Microsoft are offering a Small Business Cloud Survival Kit Lunch Seminar on Nov. 14, 2013, from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at the Greater Columbia Chamber of Commerce, 930 Richland Street.

This free seminar will show how cloud computing can give instant disaster recovery, a significant increase in productivity, and how it may even lower IT costs for a business. Microsoft representatives will provide insight into the newest operating system, Windows 8.1 and the newest office, Office 2013, available as a cloud product (Office 365) or as an on-premise solution.

Topics such as security, where data is stored, and how business owners and staff can gain greater freedom to access their desktop and email from any location while using any device will also be covered. Questions regarding cloud computing, network upgrades, and legal issues concerning data will be answered.

IntelliSystems will also be covering mobile computing for businesses and how to choose the right devices for employees to work remotely. There are critical policies, procedures and protections every business must have in place before allowing employees use mobile devices or if they are currently using them.

This event will be offered at no cost, and lunch will be provided. Space will be limited so seats may be reserved online at http://www.intellisystems.com/register or by emailing [email protected]. For more information about the lunch and learn, contact Susan Butler at 803-536-6363.
