Colliers brokers the sale of historic church building in Cottontown neighborhood of Downtown Columbia

Colliers | South Carolina’s Mary Winter Teaster represented Greater Carolina Baptist Church in the sale of a ±3,800-square-foot historic sanctuary located at 1419 Anthony Avenue to Gretchen Lambert and Stan Gardner.
The property is located in Cottontown, one of Columbia’s first planned residential neighborhoods located north of Downtown Columbia. The neighborhood’s historic charm has recently attracted both homebuyers and local businesses. The tree-lined streets of Cottontown have a unique vibe with a collection of coffee shops, restaurants, gardens and art studios.
1419 Anthony Avenue was built in 1929 by the Salvation Army for its first location in the Columbia area and has served as a place of worship for many years since.
