Colliers International brings 929 Gervais Street to 100% occupancy

Office, retail and restaurant space in the heart of the Vista reaches full occupancy with collaboration between landlord and brokers.

Colliers International’s JP Scurry, Scottie Smith, Paige Bryant and Mary Winter Teaster have represented the landlord in the leasing of the 10,600 square feet of space to new tenants, bringing the building from vacant to 100% occupancy.

JP Scurry, Scottie Smith and Paige Bryant leased the bottom three suites to 9-2-9 Kitchen and Bar, No Grease Barber Shop and Rocket Fizz, a candy shop. Mary Winter Teaster leased the two upstairs office spaces to Cognito and R3Vive.

“The building’s historic nature presented an extremely unique opportunity for the brokers and I to determine how to best divide the space to suit various tenants and their individual needs,” said the owner, a local investor. “It was a pleasure to work with members of the Colliers’ brokerage team, who were able to capitalize on its historic nature and unique accents while marketing the property to potential tenants.”

929 Gervais Street offers both office and retail space in the heart of the Congaree Vista. Building amenities include an outdoor patio and courtyard as well as on-site parking, both rare finds in the Vista. The owner also focused on retaining the unique additions that came with the property such as the grand staircase in the back, rare skylights, most of the exposed brick and a wonderful chandelier in the middle ground floor space.

In addition to the successful leasing assignment for this building, the owner awarded Colliers’ Real Estate Management Services division with the property management for the building as the renovations and preservation of its unique features got underway.
