According to the 2020 Census, South Carolina’s population has grown from 4.63 million in 2010 to 5.12 million people in 2020, an increase of 10.66% over the past ten years. The average median household income within South Carolina during 2020 was $56,360, a 33.82% increase over the 2010 average median income of $42,117. In addition, gross retail sales have increased by 50.53% from 2010 through 2021.
