Collins & Lacy, P.C. Marketing Director Receives Outstanding Young Alumni Award

Stefanie Caraviello is recognized by The University of South Carolina’s Journalism School
COLUMBIA, SC – Collins & Lacy, P.C. announced that Stefanie Caraviello has been selected as a recipient of the 2014 Outstanding Young Alumni award from The University of South Carolina (USC) School of Journalism and Mass Communications. The award identifies exceptional graduates who have been out of school for 10 years or less but have already demonstrated great professional accomplishments early in their careers.
“I am honored to be recognized for my accomplishments from the school that provided me the foundation for such achievements,” said Caraviello. “I only hope I can continue to represent the best qualities of the University in my future professional endeavors and community service activities.”
As the Director of Marketing & Communications for Collins & Lacy, Caraviello helps develop and implement strategic public relations and marketing initiatives for new and existing clients that meet the firm’s objectives. She and her team have received recognition for Collins & Lacy’s strategic communications program, as well as multiple awards honoring the firm’s internal and external communication platforms.
In the community, Caraviello has served in several statewide organizations that work to advance the communications profession. She is the immediate past chair of the Legal Marketing Association’s (LMA) Southeastern Chapter’s Columbia City Group. She is past-president of the South Carolina Chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC-SC), and she served on the 2012-2013 IABC Southern Region Board of Directors as the VP of Leadership Development.
A cum laude graduate of the University of South Carolina, Stefanie received her undergraduate degree in broadcast journalism. She is an Edward R. Murrow scholarship recipient, an Emmy award nominee and a South Carolina Broadcasters Association award winner. As the former senior producer for the Columbia-based NBC affiliate WIS News 10, Stefanie spent almost eight years producing award-winning newscasts.
The USC School of Journalism and Mass Communication will present its alumni awards during Homecoming activities in October 2014.
