Collins and Lacy, P.C. welcomed J. Andrew Ritner to its Retail and Hospitality Practice Group. Andrew’s career has been defined by his unwavering commitment to both his country and clients as he has garnered extensive experience serving the United States Army.
At the University of South Carolina, Andrew obtained his bachelor’s degree in government and international relations. He then went on to earn his Juris Doctor from Michigan State University College of Law, receiving academic recognition on the Dean’s Honor List.
Andrew has worked with the US Army for much of his career, serving in the JAG Corps for over fourteen years. He found further opportunities to serve as a Contract & Fiscal Attorney at both Shaw AFB and Fort Bragg and deployed to Afghanistan and Qatar as a Contract & Intelligence Law Attorney and Task Force detachment chief.
Other notable portions of his career include his time as a Legal Assistance Attorney at Fort Jackson and service as a Brigade Judge Advocate at Joint Base Charleston. Through these experiences, Andrew demonstrated fierce persistence in taking on expansive legal challenges as well as impressive communication and analytical skills imperative to the positions he held.
Andrew additionally acted as an assistant prosecutor with the State Grand Jury for the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office. As is demonstrated from his vast professional background, Andrew Ritner has had a career defined by adapting to a variety of legal environments and excelled in taking on new challenges, consistently determined to provide the highest possible level of service to all who rely on him.
