Collins & Lacy Welcomes Laura Robinson

COLUMBIA, SC – Collins & Lacy, P.C. is pleased to announce Laura Robinson has joined the firm’s Columbia office. Robinson is special counsel practicing in the area of workers’ compensation.

Laura is experienced in commercial and business litigation and has successfully represented clients in both State and Federal courts, as well as in mediations and arbitrations. She also brings a unique perspective to her cases by having served on the executive management teams of an insurance company and the South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce, both dealing with workplace claims and resolutions.

“Laura understands the needs of employers and carriers, and she advocates on their behalf in all stages of the workers’ compensation process,” said Ellen Adams, chair of the workers’ compensation practice group. “We are excited to have Laura join the firm and our practice group.”

Robinson, a Charleston native, majored in psychology as an undergraduate from William Smith College in New York and received her Juris Doctor at the University of South Carolina School of Law.
