Colonial Life names Russ Plyler to head Northwest Region

COLUMBIA, SC – Russ Plyler has been named vice president of sales for Colonial Life’s Northwest region. Plyler is responsible for leading the company’s distribution teams in the 18-state Northwest Region, including northern California, Colorado, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, northern Nevada, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, Wisconsin and Wyoming.
Plyler has more than 21 years of insurance industry experience in a variety of sales development, benefits enrollment and customer service roles. He most recently served as vice president of field development, where his team was responsible for laying the foundation for leadership development of territory sales managers, district general agents and agency development managers.
Plyler earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, S.C., and attended the Darden Business School of Business Executive Leadership Program.
