Columbia’s first riverfront neighborhood announces new amenities and on-site leasing

The Beach Company announced the opening of an on-site leasing office for Sola Station, the final phase of the company’s CanalSide community. Located in the heart of downtown Columbia directly along the Columbia Canal, Sola Station is the city’s first riverfront destination and neighborhood. In addition to 339 multifamily rental units, the mixed-use community features 30,000 square feet of commercial space and unmatched views of the Congaree River.

Named for the 19th century railroad station that once connected Charleston’s port to the state’s inland regions, Sola Station offers residents premium apartment living in a desirable downtown neighborhood within walking distance to major employers, restaurants and shops. Available floorplans currently include one-, two-, and three-bedroom options for immediate occupancy.

Amenities at Sola Station include a saltwater pool, fitness center and yoga studio, pet spa, dog park and clubroom with an arcade-style gaming table and outdoor kitchens overlooking the river. The community also features an active courtyard with a saltwater pool, grills, corn hole, cabanas and a passive courtyard with tree and light gardens, lounge seating and an outdoor kitchen to fit any mood and lifestyle. The property features eight community TVs, two of which are located outdoors in the lounging patio. Sola Station will additionally offer two guest suites for residents to rent for their visitors on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Recently, the city of Columbia rolled out its bicycle-sharing program Blue Bike with the construction of 15 rental stations, one of which is located at Riverfront Park next to Sola Station. The Blue Bike program offers single-trip rentals for visitors as well as annual memberships for frequent riders.
