WHAT: Local Chick-fil-A® Owner-Operators in the Columbia area are teaming up to host a Thanksgiving ‘Souper’ on Thursday, Nov. 16 to support the Columbia Women’s Shelter. Hosted at the Eastminster Presbyterian Church, proceeds from each $5 entry ticket sold will go to the local Women’s Shelter to help provide residents with the tools they need to live a healthy, safe and sufficient life. Local Columbia Owner-Operators invite the community to attend this meaningful event and enjoy Chicken Noodle Soup, crackers, and Freshly-Brewed Iced Tea in support of a good cause.
“We are honored to have the opportunity to partner with the Columbia Women’s Shelter, an organization that is actively improving the lives of countless women in our community,” said Michael Tucker, local Owner-Operator of Chick-fil-A Lexington. “We encourage the community to join us for a delicious bowl of Chick-fil-A® Chicken Noodle soup to support this incredible cause.”
The Columbia Women’s Shelter has been a part of the community for over 30 years. The women’s shelter strives to offer more than a bed and something to eat, ideally bringing change to the lives of their residents. In order to provide visitors with the tools and skills they need to become healthy, safe and self-sufficient, the Columbia Women’s Shelter provides a variety of educational and support programs. The organization also owns 17 fully furnished housing units, which offer long-term housing to residents who have successfully completed the 12-week primary housing program.
