November 21, 2012

COLUMBIA, SC – Columbia author Mary Lee’s children’s book, When Grandma’s False Teeth Fly has recently been awarded the Silver Medal Award from the Military Writers Society of America in the Children Under 12 category.

In the story, Katie is not a little girl anymore-she is six years old. But some mean girls at school still tease her about her chipped baby tooth. Katie seeks advice from her grandma, who tells her a hilarious story that encourages her to use humor instead of anger or sadness to solve her problems.

This is also an eLIVE title, meaning each book contains a code redeemable for a free audio book version from TatePublishing.org. eLIVE – Listen, Imagine, View, and Experience!

Lee is a retired Air Force Master Sergeant and a Licensed Master Social Worker living with her husband, Chuck, in Columbia, South Carolina. Her first book, My Air Force Mom, was a winner in the Children’s Fiction Category of the 73rd Annual Writer’s Digest Writing Competition.
