Columbia City Councilman Moe Baddourah Announces Series of Meet & Greets for New Police Chief to Meet Columbia Residents
May 27, 2014COLUMBIA, SC – Columbia City Councilman Moe Baddourah will host 2 meet-and-greets with the City’s new Police Chief William “Skip” Holbrook. The first will be held on Wednesday, June 5th at Edisto Discovery Park beginning at 6 PM. The second will be held on Wednesday, June 12th at Woodlands Park beginning at 6 PM. Columbia residents and members of the media are encouraged to attend.
The event will be a chance for Columbia residents to get to know the new top law enforcement officer for the City. Chief Holbrook joined the Columbia Police Department in April after a nationwide search for a new chief.
Chief Holbrook most recently served as the police chief for the Huntington West Virginia Police Department. He began his career in 1987 with the Charlotte Police Department, and then graduated from the FBI Academy. He also served as Assistant Special Agent in Charge for the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation; and worked at the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.
“I’m excited to have Chief Holbrook here in Columbia and look forward to the new initiatives and ideas he will bring to this Department,” said Councilman Baddourah. “He is going to do a great job protecting our citizens and I want everyone to have an opportunity to talk with them about their concerns from their communities.”
