Columbia Heart opens clinic in Kingstree

Columbia Heart announced our newest outlying clinic in Kingstree, South Carolina! Dr. J. Ryan Altman and Dr. Mazen Khalil will travel to Kingstree on a weekly basis to see patients at the new location inside Williamsburg Regional Hospital. With the addition of the Kingstree clinic, Columbia Heart continues to expand its presence in the Midlands and surrounding communities. With five locations in addition to it’s main Columbia office, Columbia Heart is the largest independent, physician owned cardiology practice in the Midlands. Providing comprehensive preventive, interventional, and electrophysiology care, Columbia Heart remains the area’s leader in specialty heart care.

Prior to joining Columbia Heart, Dr. Altman practiced Interventional Cardiology in Pawley’s Island and taught as a Clinical Assistant Professor at MUSC. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Interventional Cardiology. Dr. Mazen Khalil trained at Emory University and performs Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) and is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Interventional Cardiology​ and Echocardiography
