Comcast donates $37,500, which creates 225,000 meals, to Lowcountry Food Bank in North Charleston

Comcast presented a check for $37,500 to the Lowcountry Food Bank in North Charleston. The presentation took place at their facility, located at 2864 Azalea Drive, on Tuesday, Feb. 27 at 9 a.m.

The Lowcountry Food Bank distributed more than 28 million pounds of food and served more than 23 million meals last year. It serves the 10 coastal counties of South Carolina through distribution centers in Charleston, Yemassee and Myrtle Beach.

“As a company, we have always focused on finding ways to support the communities in which we live and work,” said Doug Guthrie, Regional SVP at Comcast. “We are proud to partner with Lowcountry Food Bank to make this important announcement, and hope this will help make a difference in the lives of those in need.”
