Community Art Show to Showcase Local Talent at Laurens County Museum
January 20, 2026The Laurens County Museum will host a Community Art Show this spring, highlighting the creativity and talent of local artists through a diverse and engaging exhibition.
The show, featuring artwork by Barbara and Jim Brinson along with participants from Jim Brinson’s community art class held at the museum, will be on display from March 14 through April 25, 2026, in the museum’s traveling exhibit hall.
Visitors can expect a wide variety of artwork representing both beginners and professional artists. The exhibition will include paintings, drawings, and sculptures, with styles ranging from realism to abstract, offering something for every art enthusiast to enjoy.
Jim Brinson volunteers his time to the Laurens County Museum by teaching the community art class every Wednesday morning from 10 a.m. until noon. The class is open to the public, with a $7 donation requested to support the museum and its programming.
