Community Comes Out in Support of Laurens County Cancer Association
October 17, 2022By now everyone knows that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
For the staff and volunteers at the Laurens County Cancer Association every day is about meeting the needs of community members suffering from all kinds of cancer and the issues that come from the debilitating disease.
Last Friday, Canebrake Engineering & Surveying “rolled up” the doors to their office at 202 W. Main Street in Clinton to host Coffee, Doughnuts & Donations to support the Laurens County Cancer Association.
“It was a beautiful morning; we were pleased with the number of people who stopped by on their way to work and school. I would like to thank Laila’s Place for the delicious donuts, The Vestibule for the hot coffee, and especially Susan Tallman for marketing the event and helping to bring everything together,” said Joseph Dyches. “Cancer has had an effect on all of our lives, whether directly or indirectly, and the Laurens County Cancer Association provides critical services to our community. We are blessed to have a resource like this in the county and are honored to be able to provide our support.”
The event raised over $1,000 and all proceeds were donated to the Laurens County Cancer Association.
