Community Invited to Downtown Cleanup Ahead of Rhythm on the Rails
April 7, 2026Volunteers are invited to roll up their sleeves and help give downtown Clinton a fresh look during an upcoming Earth Month cleanup event hosted by Main Street Clinton in partnership with the City of Clinton.
The cleanup is scheduled for Saturday, April 11, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., beginning at the Main Street Clinton office. Community members, local businesses, and civic groups are encouraged to participate in this effort to prepare downtown for one of the city’s most anticipated events, Rhythm on the Rails.
Participants will spend the morning picking up litter, sprucing up public spaces, and adding seasonal flowers to the large planters along Broad and Main streets—bringing a refreshed and welcoming feel to the heart of downtown.
Jim Spry, Director of Main Street Clinton, emphasized the importance of community involvement. “This is a simple way for people to come together and take pride in our downtown,” Spry said. “As The City of Clinton gets ready for Rhythm on the Rails, we want Clinton to look its best and reflect the spirit of the people who call it home.”
Organizers say the event is a great opportunity for residents to take pride in their community while helping ensure Clinton shines for visitors and locals alike during the upcoming festival season.
Those interested in participating are encouraged to stop by the Main Street Clinton office the morning of the event and be ready to lend a hand.
