Community Turns Out in Big Way for The Lumberyard’s Successful Reopening
February 9, 2026(see photo gallery below)
After a brief closure and ownership transition, The Lumberyard has officially reopened—welcomed back by a strong show of support from the community that has helped turn the venue into a true local gathering spot.
The reopening marked a new chapter following the transition in ownership from founders Charlie and Stacey to new owners Robert Moore and Ryland Culbertson. Both are familiar faces to many patrons and have emphasized their commitment to preserving the welcoming atmosphere and sense of connection that have long defined The Lumberyard.
“We’ve been humbled by the support,” Culbertson said. “This place has always been about more than what’s on the menu—it’s about people gathering and feeling at home. Every person who came out for the reopening reminded us why this place matters.”
The temporary closure allowed for an expansion of the kitchen, paving the way for an enhanced food menu and continued growth. When the doors reopened, the response was immediate. Community members packed the space, enjoying the updated setup, reconnecting with friends, and celebrating the return of a place that has become much more than a bar—it has become a hub for gathering.
The expanded menu introduces several new food options, including:
Burgers
-
Single Smash
-
Double Smash
-
Optional add-ons including bacon, onion, or an Impossible Burger substitution
Sides
-
Crispy Dipper Fries
-
Loaded Fries with crispy dipper fries, house seasoning, and cheddar cheese sauce
-

Salads
-

-
Caesar Salad
Bowls & Wraps

Additional menu items are expected to roll out in the coming weeks.
The reopening had the feel of a celebration rather than a typical business day. Conversations flowed easily, tables stayed full, and longtime patrons expressed excitement about seeing a familiar space refreshed while maintaining its original spirit.
As The Lumberyard moves forward under new ownership, it continues to serve as a place where neighbors gather, friendships are built, and community comes first—proof that when a local business invests in its people, the community shows up in return.
