Complete PR earns two Mercury Awards in SCPRSA competition

The 100th anniversary of Greenville’s involvement in the end of World War I as well as celebrating the region’s modern love of tacos earned Complete PR two Mercury Awards from the South Carolina Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America.
Communication professionals from across the state were recognized for their work last Thursday with more than 70 awards presented in three categories: Mercury Awards recognize public relations programs and campaigns; Silver Wing Awards recognize outstanding tactics used in public relations and Individual Awards recognize the career accomplishments of individuals.
Complete PR earned an Award of Excellence for creating a public relations campaign for the Remember Old Hickory, a year-long honoring of the soldiers of the 30th Infantry Division who were trained in Greenville 100 years ago. From a media standpoint alone, Complete PR created more than 50 separate media stories between newspapers, magazines, television, radio, speaking opportunities and web pieces.
The firm also earned an Award of Merit for its work on the Tacos & Tequila Fiesta, an annual event in downtown Greenville. Complete PR’s work included generating media, creating packets and assisting with social media.
