Congaree Land Trust presents 9th annual signature event – Game & Garden Soirée
February 24, 2026Join Congaree Land Trust for the 9th Annual Game & Garden Soirée on Wednesday, April 1st from 6pm to 9pm. As one of the organization’s signature fundraising events, this highly anticipated spring gathering brings together some of the region’s most renowned chefs, preparing a delicious array of small plates made from locally sourced ‘game and garden’ ingredients, highlighting wild game, fresh vegetables, and locally foraged flavors.
The Game & Garden Soirée will welcome over 300 guests in support of Congaree Land Trust’s mission to conserve treasured natural and working lands across central South Carolina. The celebration will take place at a new location: the South Carolina State Museum, located at 301 Gervais Street in the heart of Columbia. One of the state’s most celebrated cultural landmarks, the SC State Museum is housed in the historic Columbia Mills building and provides an unforgettable setting that perfectly complements the Soirée’s spirit of honoring the land and the people who depend on it.
Guests will enjoy culinary creations from an all-star lineup of local chefs, including Harold Pendleton of The War Mouth, Patrick Weller of Southern Way, Danté Serra of The Hollow, Michael Stuckey of The Millstone at Adams Pond, Shalare Martinez and Mark Raines of Capital City Catering, and more. The evening will be accompanied by lively music from The Millhands, and raffle items will showcase local artisan goods, art, and experiences. Proceeds will benefit Congaree Land Trust’s important conservation initiatives.
