Construction begins on hotel phase of Biltmore Station

Ziff Properties, Inc. announced the beginning of the hotel phase of their Biltmore Station located in Asheville, NC. The 85,401-square-foot mixed-use property is comprised of retail and office space, and soon a Home2 Suites by Hilton will join the mix.

Baywood Hotels, a Maryland-based hospitality management company has begun construction on the 120-room, 4-story hotel that is expected to be complete during the first quarter of 2019. Baywood acquired the hotel’s development parcel from Biltmore Station’s ownership group in 2017. The parcel is located between Biltmore Station’s mixed-use and office phases.

Chief Operating Officer and Director of Acquisitions, Christian Chamblee says, “Biltmore Station is a unique property and the addition of this hotel will complement the property’s dynamic nature, adding foot traffic and liveliness.”
