Copeland-Davidson Post 56 Honors Commander Rossi Hanna and Sons with Quilts of Valor at Special Reception
October 21, 2024Following the recent Hall of Heroes ceremony, a special reception was held at the Copeland-Davidson Post 56 to honor Commander Rossi Hanna and his three Air Force active-duty sons-in-law with Quilts of Valor. These hand-sewn, colorful quilts were created by local patriots as a way to “give a thankful, warm hug” to those who have served and continue to serve our country. The Quilts of Valor Foundation’s mission is to cover service members and veterans touched by war with comforting, tangible reminders of appreciation and gratitude.
Commander Hanna, who has dedicated years of service to the American Legion, was also presented with his anniversary pin, celebrating 25 years of membership in the organization. The event served as a heartfelt tribute to both his commitment and the sacrifices made by his family in service to the nation.
The reception, a gathering of veterans, families, and community members, was a testament to the Post’s ongoing efforts to recognize and honor those who protect and defend the country.
