Countdown to Kickoff: Presbyterian College Football’s 2024 Home Game Schedule Features Exciting Community Promotions

August 25, 2024

For many college football fans, the wait is almost over.

Blue Hose enthusiasts are in for a treat this season as Presbyterian College has unveiled a robust lineup of promotional activities and special occasions for each of its six home games. Every event at Bailey Memorial Stadium promises to offer something unique, involving the Clinton community and the Blue Hose fan base in exciting ways.

Beyond the usual fanfare of a PC football home game, the university has planned a series of themed promotions, starting with the home opener on September 14 against Virginia-Lynchburg. This season’s schedule promises to engage alumni, local heroes, youth athletes, and more, making each game a memorable experience.

Single-game tickets for all six home games are currently on sale. Fans are encouraged to secure their seats now to be part of the action. Tickets can be purchased directly through the Presbyterian College athletics website here.

Below is a brief overview of each promotional event:

Sat., September 14: Letterwinners / Scotsman Club Day

Vs. Virginia-Lynchburg (1:00 PM)

The Blue Hose will kick off their home schedule by honoring past letterwinners and celebrating the dedicated supporters of the Scotsman Club. As PC aims to secure a third consecutive victory against the VUL Dragons, fans will have the opportunity to connect with the rich history and community surrounding Presbyterian football.

Sat., September 21: Youth Sports Day / Hometown Heroes

Vs. Gardner-Webb (7:00 PM)

In the first night game at Bailey Memorial since 2022, PC will wrap up its non-conference slate by welcoming Gardner-Webb. This game will spotlight local youth athletes and honor the hometown heroes who make a difference every day. With Gardner-Webb having tied for the best league record in the Big South/OVC merger last year, this promises to be an electrifying matchup.

Sat., September 28: Carolina Border Clash / 864 Community Day

Vs. Davidson (7:00 PM)

The historic Carolina Border Clash with Davidson continues under the lights for a second consecutive weekend. Fans are encouraged to celebrate the spirit of the 864 region on Community Day as the Blue Hose and Wildcats battle for the coveted half-blue/half-red trophy in their 35th all-time meeting.

Sat., October 19: Homecoming / Salute to Service

Vs. Drake (1:00 PM)

Homecoming weekend will see PC face off against last season’s Pioneer Football League champions, Drake, in their first-ever visit to Clinton. With a two-point thriller in Des Moines last year, the Blue Hose nearly toppled Drake, who went on to secure an automatic bid to the FCS Playoffs. This Homecoming is set to be unforgettable, with special exhibits, activities, and tributes honoring those who have served in the United States military.

Sat., November 2: Decades Day / Faith Day & FCA

Vs. Dayton (1:00 PM)

PC invites alumni from all decades to a special reunion in the penultimate home game against Dayton. Last season, the Blue Hose clinched their first-ever Pioneer League victory in a dramatic 20-17 overtime win against the Flyers. Fans won’t want to miss this opportunity to relive old memories and participate in faith-based events and activities.

Sat., November 23: Senior Day / Cancer Awareness

Vs. Butler (1:00 PM)

The season finale will feature Senior Day festivities as PC takes on Butler in just their second all-time meeting. The Blue Hose will aim to close out the season with a victory, similar to last year’s four-point triumph over Morehead State. This game will also focus on raising awareness for cancer research, making it a day of celebration and reflection.

With a packed schedule of exciting events, Blue Hose fans have much to look forward to this season. Be sure to get your tickets now and join the Presbyterian College community at Bailey Memorial Stadium for a season of exciting football action.
