Countybank’s Jordan Payne promoted to SBA Business Development Manager
April 10, 2025Countybank announced the promotion of Jordan Payne, Vice President, to SBA Business Development Manager.
Payne joined Countybank in 2021 as a lender in the bank’s Small Business Administration (SBA) Department, which is focused on SBA 7(a) loans, a type of government-backed loan that helps small businesses access funding for working capital, equipment, real estate, and refinancing.
During his time with the bank, Payne has implemented new software which helps the SBA Department’s lenders easily organize information to be responsive to customer’s needs. Payne has also served as a mentor to other lenders in the department.
“Jordan is an excellent mentor to his peers,” said Chris Jackson, Senior Vice President and SBA Division Manager. “This promotion is a natural next step in his career, placing him in a leadership position to advise and guide our lenders as they develop new relationships with local entrepreneurs and businesses in need of loans.”
Jackson said Payne’s leadership skills will also assist Countybank’s SBA Department in continuing to stand out as an industry leader in SBA lending. Countybank was named #1 in SBA 7(a) loan volume in South Carolina-based lenders for 2022, 2023, and 2024.
“Jordan is passionate about equipping our lenders with the tools they need to best serve our small business clients,” said Jackson. “We’re expanding our efforts to serve SBA customers in the Upstate and beyond, and Jordan will be instrumental as a leader on our team.”
Payne is a graduate of the University of Tennessee and resides in the Upstate. He is available to serve small business clients throughout the Upstate of South Carolina and frequently travels to the bank’s offices in Greenville, Greer, Anderson, and Simpsonville.
