Covey center's Will Marre to outline leadership tactics at Clemson leadership seminar in Greenville
August 27, 2010CLEMSON, SC – August 27, 2010 – Revolutionary practices that lead to billions of dollars in sales will be the topic when Will Marre, co-founder of the Covey Leadership Center, speaks at a leadership seminar at 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 3, at Larkin’s on the River in downtown Greenville.
Marre’s visit is co-sponsored by Clemson University’s MBA program and The Arthur M. Spiro Institute for Entrepreneurial Leadership.
“We are proud to bring someone of Will’s reputation to our new campus in downtown Greenville to speak to our students and the surrounding business community,” said Greg Pickett, interim associate dean for Clemson at the Falls at 55 E. Camperdown Way. “Having Clemson MBA students regularly interact with business professionals and engage in these sorts of discussions together strengthens the learning process for all.”
In addition to his presentation in Greenville, Marre will speak at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1, at the Strom Thurmond Institute at Clemson.
Marre is the co-founder and former president of the Covey Leadership Center, where he translated the concepts of Stephen Covey’s The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People into powerful leadership courses taught to more than a million executives worldwide. He has been a business leader and consultant for 25 years to such companies as Disney and Procter and Gamble.

The Clemson MBA program will bring such business leaders as Marre to speak to students and the local business community on the first Friday of every month. This kickoff event will be held at Larkin’s, and all future events will be held at the Clemson at the Falls campus in downtown Greenville.
