October 12, 2011

LANCASTER, SC – October 11, 2011 – Monica Craig, Branch Manager of Phillips Staffing in Lancaster SC, has been appointed to two boards focusing on workforce and education issues in the Catawba region.

Craig is serving on a 20-plus member Workforce Action Team, the result of a recent Lancaster County sponsored workforce analysis–conducted by Greenville SC-based 10-x Group. The Team, known as WAT, has been formed to better connect employers and jobseekers and address the issues surrounding workforce, education and industry needs in the area.

She is also serving on the Catawba Regional Education Center, one of 12 centers in the state providing a network of local service providers to help students and adults access the guidance and opportunities they need to become the prepared employees the state needs to compete and excel in the global economy.

“By serving on both of these important boards, I hope to contribute my employment and industry background to help identify community workforce and training needs,” said Craig. “We can then ensure the resources are available to prepare our existing and future workforce for the jobs of tomorrow.”

Phillips Staffing, a division of S.B. Phillips Company, Inc., is a 43 year-old full-service, Greenville-based employment company with 12 offices in the Southeast.
