Crawford Strategy engages two Clemson Students in summer internship program

Crawford Strategy, a full-service marketing, brand development, public relations and digital media company, welcomes Laura Hemphill and Jamie Yarborough as the agency’s 2017 summer interns. Crawford offers internship opportunities for college students and recent graduates year-round. The interns work alongside Crawford Strategy employees to gain knowledge and experience about marketing, public relations and event planning projects.
“We are thrilled to have such enthusiastic students join our team for the summer,” said Marion Crawford, company president and CEO. “Interns provide invaluable support for our team and learn a great deal by helping us. We have enjoyed getting the interns involved in a variety of projects during their time here.”
Hemphill is a senior in the Calhoun Honors College at Clemson University and is majoring in history. She is from Williamsburg, Virginia, and assists the public relations and marketing team this summer. During the school year, she works as a tutor at Clemson’s Writing Center.
“I am excited to explore a career in public relations and marketing at Crawford this summer,” said Hemphill. “I love the challenge of working in a fast-paced environment where good communications and strategic thinking are vital, and am grateful for the opportunity to learn more about this dynamic industry.”
Yarborough is majoring in communications with a minor in business administration and is a member of the Calhoun Honors College. The rising senior hopes to use her communications background to obtain a job in the public relations fashion industry. She has previous communications experience working with State Farm and the Special Olympics.
“I am honored to have received such a wonderful opportunity to work with a prestigious company like Crawford Strategy,” said Yarborough. “I plan to take away valuable experience from this internship that I can use to further my future career in marketing and public relations.”
