Cromer’s Announces New Hires, Promotions in Preparation for 75th Anniversary

COLUMBIA, SC – August 21, 2009 – Cromer’s, a Columbia institution known for its delicious specialty foods and novelties, is pleased to announce several promotions and new hires, marking a new chapter in Cromer’s soon-to-be 75-year history.
Alan Parker has recently been promoted from General Manager to Vice President of Cromer’s, and he will continue to oversee all day-to-day operations at Cromer’s.
Debbie Moise has joined Cromer’s as Marketing Advertising Manager. Moise most recently worked in the marketing department at First Citizens.
Debby Sullivan, another recent new hire, comes to Cromer’s from MAC Restaurant Corporation. In her new role, Sullivan will serve as the purchasing agent for the products Cromer’s offers.
“With over 20 employees at Cromer’s, not to mention our retail floor employees, it’s very important to me to have experienced, dedicated professionals working at Cromer’s,” said Carolette Cromer Turner, President of Cromer’s and granddaughter of founder Julian Cromer. “We may sell peanuts, but the behind the scenes work needed to shop our popcorn, candy apples and promotional products all over the country, certainly isn’t small peanuts. We’re coming up on our 75th anniversary, and we couldn’t have done it without our excellent employees.”
