Custom Home Builders, Quality Homes Win State Awards
July 8, 2010HILTON HEAD, SC – July 2, 2010 – The HomeBuildersAssociation of SouthCarolina recently awarded the prestigious Pinnacle Awards to homebuilders, remodelers, and other home building industry professionalsacross the state during the Eighth Annual Celebration of Excellenceawards banquet held on Hilton Head Island last week. More than 19 awardswere awarded to new homes and remodel project entries that exhibitedoutstanding craftsmanship in the construction of quality homes. Pricepoints for these entries ranged from $200,000 to more than $5 million.
Sales and Marketing awards were also given to those entries thatexhibited exceptional design and delivery of the message.
While a Pinnacle Award was given to the entry that achieved thehighest score in each category, finalist awards were also given toentries that were exceptional in the judges’ eyes.

New Construction Categories
$200,000 to $499,999
The Pinnacle Award went to Avery Construction, LLC of the HBA of GreaterSpartanburg for the Knighton Residence (photo below). AFinalist Award was given to Witter ConstructionCo., Inc. of the HBA of Aiken County for The Witter-Palmetto House andto Saluda River Club ofthe HBA of Greater Columbia for The Charleston by Lady Street Builders.

The Pinnacle Award went to Reclamation by Design, Ltd. of the HiltonHead Area HBA for The Michner Residence. A Finalist Award was given toAllen Patterson Residential, LLC of the HBA of the Lowcountry for theCaratto Residence and to Caldwell Design and Construction, Inc. of theHBA of Aiken County for the McComas Residence.

The Pinnacle Award went to Allen Patterson Residential, LLC of the HBAof the Lowcountry for the Patterson Residence. A Finalist Award wasgiven to Tilton Group Signature Homes of the Hilton Head Area HBA forthe Genovese Residence.

The Pinnacle Award was given to Southern Builders of York County, Inc.of the HBA of York County for the Lesslie Residence. A Finalist Awardwas given to Tilton Group Signature Homes of the Hilton Head Area HBAfor the Bernheim Residence and to Central Contracting Corporation of theHBA of Oconee for Jocassee Partner Holdings.

The Pinnacle Award was given to The Berry Group, LLC of the HBA ofOconee for the Wood Sage Court Residence and to Daly and SawyerConstruction, Inc. of the Charleston Trident HBA for the BakerResidence. A Finalist Award was given to H2 Builders, Inc. of the HiltonHead Area HBA for the Hawk Residence; to Harden Tuten Custom Homes, LLCof the Hilton Head Area HBA for the McConnell Residence; and to JeffHolder Builders, Inc. of the HBA of Oconee for the Parisi Residence.

Remodel Project Pinnacle Award Winners
$149,999 and less
The Pinnacle Award was given to DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen of the HBAof Aiken County for Grefenstette.
Entries must have been completed after October 1, 2008, and the builderof record must be an HBA member. The participants supplied the judgeswith floor plans, exterior elevations, color photographs and acommentary on each entry. In addition, a list of all sub-contractors andtheir membership status in the HBA was required.
