Cyber Academy of South Carolina invites families to enroll for 2016-2017 school year

March 28, 2016

GREENVILLE, SC – Cyber Academy of South Carolina (CASC), a tuition-free online public school, invites families to consider enrolling for the 2016-2017 academic year. For the first time, CASC will offer the full K-12 grade level offering. Graduates earn a high school diploma and transcript recognized by colleges and universities around the country.

Using an interactive online curriculum combined with teacher support and hands-on materials, CASC leads students toward academic achievement, while respecting and nurturing each student’s individual learning style.

CASC operates Learning Labs in Columbia, Charleston, Greenville, Myrtle Beach, Beaufort, Rock Hill, Aiken, andFlorence. These locations provide face-to-face tutoring, small group instruction, and support for students and their learning coaches (typically, the parent or guardian). CASC expects to open additional Learning Lab locations during the 2016-2017 school year.

CASC also provides online access to the small group tutoring sessions that take place at its Learning Lab locations. This means that students working independently at home all around the state can access and become part of the live tutoring sessions taking place at one of the CASC Learning Labs. This is in addition to the live, online Class Connect sessions with state-certified teachers that students are required to attend as part of their daily school schedule.

“Cyber Academy of South Carolina is the only virtual charter school in the state that can provide a truly blended learning model to all of our students, no matter where they live,” said David Crook, Head of School at CASC. “We use technology and our physical locations to bring students the full classroom experience, plus the option of face to face tutoring.”

CASC provides courses in language arts/English, math, science, history, world languages, art and music, as well as core, elective, and Advanced Placement (AP) courses for high school students. CASC also has partnerships with Colleges around the state so that High School students can earn College Credit.  Qualifying students have the ability to access the Advanced Learners program at CASC.

CASC is now accepting enrollments for the 2016-2017 school year. Parents are encouraged to attend one of the online information sessions hosted by the school each month. More information on CASC and upcoming events can be found at http://casc.k12.com/.
