The cyber-related work done by the faculty, staff and students at the Citadel mark them as superior to others in the cyber academic arena. The commitment to excellence shines through in all of their efforts.
For SAIC, they have a statewide presence working to support the nation’s military in the Charleston and North Augusta areas of the state along with a dedicated commitment to youth STEM programs.” said Tom Scott, Executive Director of CyberSC.
“In our Excellence in Government category, the South Carolina National Guard has outshone its peers in demonstrating a true ability to coordinate cyber efforts across multiple levels of government; including standing up a new Cyber Battalion that has been deployed over the past year to US Army Cyber Command at Ft. Meade in Maryland.
In addition, the groundbreaking work done by SC Insurance Commissioner Farmer, has put South Carolina ahead of the nation in accountability for cyber practices in the insurance field, noted Scott”
