Dan D’Alberto, Purpose Equity, named Corporate Walk Chair for Blood Cancer United’s 2026 Light The Night

The Georgia-South Carolina Region of Blood Cancer United®, formerly The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, announced Dan D’Alberto with Purpose Equity as the Corporate Walk Chair of its 2026 Light The Night philanthropic campaign. Hundreds of volunteers, donors, and corporate partners will come together and raise funds to help Blood Cancer United continue to carry out its mission to cure blood cancer and improve the quality of life of all patients and their families. As Corporate Walk Chair, D’Alberto will lead efforts to drive corporate support and revenue growth for Light The Night.

This year, Light The Night event in Columbia will be held on November 5, at Finlay Park.

Since its inception in 1993, Light The Night has been Blood Cancer United’s signature annual event series drawing supporters across North America to raise funds for groundbreaking blood cancer research and crucial patient resources and support.

“I am so honored to serve as the Corporate Walk Chair and look forward to encouraging local businesses and corporations in this incredible community to join me in supporting Light The Night,” said Dan D’Alberto, Blood Cancer United’s Columbia Light The Night Chair. “This mission is deeply personal to me. Having experienced the impact of cancer within my own family, I know how important a strong support system can be—not just for patients, but for the families who walk alongside them. Together, we are helping blood cancer patients live longer, better lives.”

In its second year, Blood Cancer United will offer a new experience at all Light The Night events. United in Mission (UIM), featuring an interactive 3D “U” sculpture allowing attendees to reflect on the moments that matter – the big (and not so big) life moments that Blood Cancer United will help make possible.
