David Kent is 2016 South Carolina REALTORS® President
November 30, 2015David Kent, Realtor® and Broker in Charge of The Real Buyer’s Agent in Charleston, is South Carolina REALTORS® (SCR) 2016 president. Kent was inaugurated in a ceremony at the association’s September annual meeting in Columbia. His term began November 17th, following the National Association of REALTORS® annual meeting in San Diego, California.
Kent began his real estate career as a homebuilder more than 20 years ago, eventually opening the Real Buyer’s Agent in Charleston with his business partner. His background includes many leadership positions at the local, state and national levels of the Realtor® organization including: President of the Charleston Trident Association of REALTORS®, President of the Charleston Trident Homebuilders and Director at the National Association of REALTORS®.
As president, Kent’s goal will be to focus on SCR’s strategic plan, which is rooted in the protection of private property rights and transfer or real property without interference by government entities, unnecessary taxes and fees. In addition, South Carolina REALTORS® are proponents for homeowners seeking the benefits of the American Dream.
